November 18 - Medal Count Doubles

Nov 18 Doubles the Predator Medal Count

November 18 proved to be another successful weekend for the Predators as our competing teams fought to add 4 more medals to the count!

Our 18u Girls Purple secured a Bronze medal at the Provincial Cup competing in Championship A. Facing some adversity through the day, the team showed grit after being down by 8 points during two sets, nevery giving up and fighting back to win. To finish the day the girls faced off against Georgetown Impact for the Bronze medal and came away victorious, giving the Preds their first medal of the day!

Also competing in the 18u division this weekend was 17u Girls Purple travelled to London to compete in a Trillium Division Competition. After finishing first in their pool the team powered forward into the playoffs taking down Twin Bridges and 17u Scorpions in the quarters and semi finals. The Preds then entered the final and found themselves facing pool-mates 18u Scorpions defeating them once more to take the Gold! The team finished the day having played 6 matches without dropping a single set. The team will move into Championship division for their next 18u appearance.

Preds Nation had two teams representing the club in 14u Championship A. 14u Synergy and 14u United both had strong day, rolling through pool play undefeated. Their winning ways continued in the quarters and semis which obviously meant an all Preds final. The gold medal match was the biggest test of the day for both teams, with neither team having dropped a set all day. Friends became temporary rivals and Synergy came out on top taking the gold medal, defeating United in a two set battle 25-22 and 25-17.

Congrats to all our medalists from Nov 18th.

Go Preds!
