2009 in Review for 14U Boys
The Predators 14U boys' team competed in their best tournament on Dec. 12, their first OVA tournament of the season. The team adapted very well to the triple ball format with a complete team effort and defeated Forest City Green in the final to win their first Gold medal of the season. The 14U Boys squad is comprised of a number of key players each of who led their respective school teams to achieve impressive results this past fall. Johnny, Juan, Chance and David's competed with St. Al’s to win the school championship; Quinton led Aberfoyle to Gold in the South Guelph tournament; Jake, who was voted MVP, led his Georgetown team to an outstanding 4th place out of 48 schools in the Provincial cup. Nick's team won its school division tournament and Steven's Ayr school team also had a very strong showing. Coaches Ed Vukets and Merv Young have helped the boys develop since the start of the year. The boys are now gunning for some stiffer competition and will compete at the 15U level in February.
