Predators Help with Haiti
Over the past few weeks, on behalf of the Predators Volleyball Club, the 14U Girls Purple, 16U Girls Purple and the 18U Girls team donated enough items to build 20 kits for the relief effort in Haiti. The kits consisted of basic hygienic supplies such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and soap as well as bath towels. The kits go through the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) where they are packed and shipped overseas. The MCC is a worldwide ministry of Anabaptist churches that works for peace and justice as well as responding to basic human needs worldwide. 18U players Brieanne Gallant, Kaitlyn Skinner, 18U coach Corinne Williams and 18 U parents, Veronica Gallant and Barbara Skinner packed the 20 kits donated by the club as well as packing an additional 120 more kits. Thanks to everyone who contributed, it is appreciated greatly and will help many families to rebuild their lives in Haiti.
